I’m currently comparing the ISC2 CCSP Exam vs CISSP and trying to decide which certification would be the better investment for my cybersecurity career. Both certifications seem valuable, but they appear to serve different purposes. CISSP provides broader coverage of cybersecurity, including security operations, risk management, architecture, and governance, while CCSP is more focused on cloud security concepts and protecting cloud environments.

For someone who already has IT or cybersecurity experience, would you recommend pursuing CISSP first and then specializing in cloud security with CCSP, or does it make more sense to go directly for CCSP if cloud is the main career goal? I’m also interested in hearing about the difficulty of each exam, preparation time, and how useful the certifications have been professionally.

I’m currently reviewing official ISC2 resources and looking at additional practice options such as Cert Mage. I’d appreciate feedback from anyone who has completed either certification and can share what worked best during preparation.
